Welcome to the web site of Swindon Branch of the Wiltshire Beekeepers Association (Wiltshire BKA).

Objectives of the association include supporting its members to improve their craft and to promote better understanding of honeybees and beekeeping to the general public.

Our members are beekeepers in and around the Swindon area, varying from too many years to count to 'just started'. So if you are interested in starting to keep bees, or just plain curious why not get in touch to find out more.

Novice and other beekeepers are encouraged to prepare for and take the non-written exam for the certificate in basic beekeeping. Help is given in preparing for the exam by means of winter study group sessions and practical experience in the apiary.

We meet once a month during the Winter and occasionally during the Summer at our Branch Apiary in Swindon.

If you'd like to find out more then email Dennis Simpson (Chairman) or give him a ring on 01793 854063. If you'd like to recieve our regular newsletter by email then please contact Kathy Hobson (Secretary)

Honey produced by local beekeepers can be found for sale at local Country Markets, Farmers Markets, farm shops and local fetes.

Honey from the Association's apiary is sold at TWIGS Open Days
